Hello everyone, this is my first post. I am not an avid blogger, but I will try to share my thoughts, opinions, and progress in my MBA applications from time to time. With Round 1 deadlines quickly approaching, I will probably keep my posts short, but I will try to disclose as much as I can to give you a good idea of my profile. I have been creeping around on the GMATClub forum since July 2014 and I have only a few posts there. My username on the forum is omegakappa. Now, a little bit about myself.
Even though I have lived in the US for the past decade, I will be considered by schools as an international applicant. Some other facts:
- Applying for Fall 2015 intake. Target school Stanford, applying to 4 other schools as well.
- Undergrad from an Ivy (not H/P/Y), dual degree in STEM and Finance, GPA 3.8+/4.0
- GMAT 770
- Worked in equity research, currently working for a fintech start up. By matriculation I will have 5 years of full-time work experience.
- International applicant from a post-Soviet state.
I will not post anything about the GMAT, as I did not prepare for the test extensively. I completed only the four practice tests available from mba.com. However, I will keep you up to date with my application progress. I will most likely make a few posts about my essays as well. Okay, I am off to writing my essays! Most of them are deceivingly easy 😛
